Would Gemini ever lead?

Why do people put so little faith into Gemini's? some times i think if there were two people competing against one another that the one that isn't a Gemini will get the winnings.So like lets say one of them is a Scorpio and the other a Gemini. They both go into the meeting selling soft ware.
