What do i have to do to re open a personal injury claim to go back to chiropractic?

i was in a car accident back in June of 2010, i went through chiropractic and closed my account with them, i'm now having similar back pains again and want to re open my account with them. my insurance claim was never closed and has not been settled yet. but the chiropractor said i needed to contact a attorney about it. what do i need to do to get myself back into chiropractic under the accident claim?
