K1 changing status about the requirements! Need advice please.?

Here's the situation, the attorney asked the tax return- w2 or 1099 but my husband don't have the copy of his w2 or 1099. He only have his tax return and gave it to the attorney. I want to know if someone had experience like I had now? How did you solve the problem? How did you get a copy for w2 or 1099? Thanks
