Flying with my dog from USA to Guangzhou?

I will be moving to Guangzhou in August from the USA. I will be flying with my dog as excess baggage. Has anyone living in Guangzhou gone through this process. What type of documentation do I need to get? Also, If I am flying through Shanghai will I need to worry about her transitting through there with any problems? Also, when I arrive in Guangzhou are there any quarentines? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
