If I have an old warrant in texas and never go back there do i need to worry about that?

2005 misdemeanor 1st time DWI, refused the test, went to jail for the night, no other parties involved, no property damage.--------i left texas to take an overseas job , before i finished the lawyer payments and now there is a warrant-----my question is, should I panick and hire an attorney? Or just never go back to Texas?----thanks to anyone who can help, Im still overseas.
