Is it true that when you go from sole prop to LLC, you have to hire an attorney for all cases because you are now a legal entity and can no longer represent yourself in court? I thought that rule applied only to corporations? I know many people confuse the "C" in LLC for "Corporation" instead of "C"ompany. If it is true that you now have to hire attorneys any time someone sues you for even something simple (small claims), you could stand to lose a ton of money. Is there any way around this? (besides "yeah, stay a sole prop!"). Thanks
